Mental Health
Community based rehabilitation services - cbrs
Community Based Rehabilitation Services concentrate on enhancing the quality of life for persons with mental illness through rehabilitation strategies, equal opportunities and social inclusion. Community Based Rehabilitation Services support the full participation of individuals living with mental illness and meeting their needs within their homes and communities. Strategies are skill-development based that target skill deficits and functional limitations.
partial care - pc
Partial care is an intensive, nonresidential, therapeutic outpatient treatment program that helps development of social, communication, education and basic living skills training. The program provides clinical treatment services in a stable and safe environment to practice newly developed skills taught in the partial care groups.
Peer Support
Peer support programs provide an opportunity for consumers who have achieved significant recovery to assist others in their recovery journeys. Peer specialists model recovery, teach skills and offer supports to help people experiencing mental health challenges lead meaningful lives in the community. Peer specialists promote recovery; enhance hope and social networking through role modeling and activation; and supplement existing treatment with education, empowerment, and aid in system navigation.
case management - cm
Case management serves as a means for achieving client wellness and autonomy through advocacy, communication, education, identification of service resources and service facilitation. The case manager helps identify appropriate providers and facilities throughout the continuum of services, while ensuring that available resources are being used in a timely and cost-effective manner in order to obtain optimum value for both the client and the reimbursement source. Case management services are best offered in a climate that allows direct communication between the case manager, the client, and appropriate service personnel, in order to optimize the outcome for all concerned.
psychotherapy
Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a way to help people with a broad variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing.
Problems helped by psychotherapy include difficulties in coping with daily life; the impact of trauma, medical illness or loss, like the death of a loved one; and specific mental disorders, like depression or anxiety. There are several different types of psychotherapy and some types may work better with certain problems or issues. Psychotherapy may be used in combination with medication or other therapies.
Substance Abuse
Consumer Care LLC offers various treatment models to assist the individual in working through issues associated with their need / desire to engage in the active use / abuse of various substances. Counselors are trained in:
- Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Interventions - Substance Abuse (CBI-SI)
- Thinking for a Change (TFAC)
Other curriculum offered at Consumer Care LLC by substance abuse staff include:
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Seeking Safety
- Process Group
- Trauma Group
Clientele will meet with one of the four substance abuse counselors on a weekly basis.
Consumer Care LLC offers an interdisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals that work collaboratively to provide a holistic approach for the client. This team consists of:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Licensed Social Workers
- Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselors
- Peer Support
- Recovery Coaches
- Case Managers
Consumer Care LLC works in collaboration with the Idaho Department of Corrections; offering the Life and Recovery and Reconstruction (LRR) program. This program works with individuals involved in the criminal justice system to assist them in learning skills to re-engage society and their communities in a pro social and healthy manner. Clientele in this population work with the same interdiciplinary team with the added support of their assigned probation officer.
